This setting enables Eight to deliver contact information to your device when one of your Eight contacts calls you. If you receive a call with this setting on, your device will display the name and basic information of that contact from Eight, even if they are not in your device’s contact list.
N.B. Eight does not receive any information about your calling data, this feature simply enables your device to receive basic data from Eight.
For this feature to work on iPhone, Eight must be given permission to identify callers. To enable this, open your iPhone’s settings and scroll down to ‘Phone’, and then ‘Call Blocking & Identification’. Eight should appear as an option. It’s off by default so you need to turn it on.
Android users need only switch this on in their Eight settings menu.
