With Quickscan, any cards you scan are instantly read by OCR (optical character recognition) software, and so they’ll appear in your network straight away.

If a card you scanned belongs to an Eight user, you’ll be connected automatically, and will be able to look at their profile or send them a message straight away.

If the card doesn’t belong to an Eight user, you’ll be invited to send them your business card digitally. If you select this option, we will send them an email containing a downloadable version of your card data, which they can import into their contact list.

All quickscanned cards are subsequently digitized manually in the usual way, so any mistakes or missing information will be corrected after a few hours.
